csb's Cashmore gives back through #gift2giving
MUKWONAGO – One of the YMCA’s core principles is to ensure that no one is turned away from its programs and services due to financial reasons.
Community State Bank’s Jay Cashmore is one of many who support that mission.
“Not everyone is as fortunate,” said Cashmore, a member of the Mukwonago YMCA Board of Directors. “The YMCA offers members access to shower facilities, a place to learn and monitor their own health and swim lessons for all ages.”
In support of the Mukwonago YMCA, Cashmore donated through Community State Bank’s seventh annual #Gift2Giving employee-driven drive.
Mukwonago YMCA is one of 17 area nonprofits chosen as a recipient of over $15,000 raised through the campaign.
Community State Bank gives each of its employees $150 to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choice. In addition to the bank-provided funds, Community State Bank matches any employee donation up to $150.
"The YMCA was very grateful for Jay's donation," said Brittany Callies, Mukwonago YMCA Executive Director. "Through donations, the YMCA can continue to foster healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development, making a lasting impact on individuals and communities."
The Mukwonago YMCA is a 70,000 square foot facility serving families, seniors, adults and youth.
Out of the 9,800 families that belong to the Mukwonago YMCA, 2,300 of them reside in Racine County.
“A $250 donation allows 10 kids to complete Safety Around Water program, supplies 14 weeks of health monitoring for adults and allows two kids to attend before and after school programs for one month,” Cashmore said.
