LUCKY DUCKS! CSB Employees Enjoy ‘Day Off’ with Work Family

Over 30 CSB Volunteers Walk St. Patrick’s Day Parade

KENOSHA — Community State Bank’s Robert Pieroni received the ultimate compliment as he was surrounded by co-workers, celebrating another memorable company outing.

The CSB team had just finished passing out 4,000 “Lucky Ducks” in the second annual Eric Olson Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade and gathered for food and drinks at Kenosha’s Fin & Ale.

A gentleman who noticed a sea of green Community State Bank hoodies approached Pieroni with curiosity and asked if CSB was a sponsor of the parade.

Pieroni informed him that the bank was indeed a sponsor — the first float in the parade as a matter of fact — but that was far from the only reason nearly three dozen CSB employees and bank volunteers gathered on a chilly, Saturday morning on Kenosha’s lakefront.

“I told him we all worked for the bank and were just walking in the parade with our families,” said Pieroni, CSB Executive Vice President | Chief Lending Officer | Market President (Kenosha County) said.

“He went on to tell me that he worked for a large, national bank and this would never happen at his bank.”

In many ways, that’s what makes Community State Bank special. It’s made up of employees that are deep rooted in the communities they serve and genuinely care about the people who live and work there.

Customers become friends. Co-workers become family.

“He was shocked that our families got together during the weekend and promoted the bank and we were enjoying each other's company,” Pieroni said.

Pieroni, a Kenosha County native, shared the touching story and posted a CSB group photo on social media. It, of course, drew quite a response from the community.

Community State Bank customers and friends of the bank weren’t necessarily surprised to see so many CSB volunteers enjoying their Saturday morning together.

“You’re more than employees of the bank, you’re family.” — Dawn Marie Christensen, Kenosha

“It’s a great bank with great people.” — Chris Conigliaro, Burlington

“That’s why we appreciate you and the CSB team!” — Carolynn Friesch, Mount Pleasant

“I’ve never seen a bank that’s so involved in the community like you guys are! Very cool.” — Becky Zuehlsdorf, Kenosha

“What a great compliment!” — Brian Sheffler, Kenosha

“CSB Team is the best.” — Sandy J. Riese, Kenosha

The social media post touched CSB employees as well. It’s more than a bank, it’s a family, according to CSB’s Kristy Ellis, an Assistant Retail Manager in Union Grove.

“We are lucky to have the opportunities we do to get out in the community and be proud of where we work,” Ellis said.
