Kurhajec Named Chief Financial Officer at Community State Bank
Franklin Native Ascends from Banker, Manager, Controller to CFO
UNION GROVE — Community State Bank’s Nicole Kurhajec has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer, taking over the position and financial responsibilities previously held by CSB President Bob Findysz.
Kurhajec moved into a leadership role quickly after joining CSB as a Universal Banker in 2014. She served as a Controller at the Union Grove headquarters before being named Chief Financial Officer.
Kurhajec started her new position on Jan. 1, 2026. The promotion was approved by the CSB Board of Directors in December 2025.
“Nicole has stepped up as an important leader at our bank,” Findysz said. “I’m one-hundred percent confident that she will embrace this opportunity and be an excellent CFO. We are lucky to have her on our team.”
Findysz enters his second year as CSB’s 10th president in the organization’s 128-year history. He served as the bank’s CFO in 2023 and 2024 before moving into a President/CFO role on Jan. 1, 2025.
Kurhajec worked closely with Findysz as a Controller for the past two years, managing day-to-day operations and providing quarterly financial reports.
“He’s been an exceptional teacher and spent a lot of time teaching me not only how to do things, but how to do them the right way,” Kurhajec said. “I couldn’t have asked for a better role model.”
Kurhajec was hired by Community State Bank in 2014. She worked as a Universal Banker in Waterford, Burlington and Mount Pleasant before becoming Retail Manager in Burlington and Mount Pleasant.
In 2020, the lifelong Wisconsin resident was named Deposit Operations Manager and a CSB Officer before becoming a Controller.
It’s another example of CSB’s philosophy of discovering talent, developing skills, and putting employees in positions to continue the bank’s 128-year history of success.
“When you have a team that is confident in what they’re doing and works well with each other, it makes a world of difference,” Kurhajec said. “CSB does everything in its power to develop employees and help them reach their goals.”
Kurhajec said her goal is to make sure CSB remains financially strong and to continue its mission of serving Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties for another 128 years.
“I enjoy what the bank stands for,” Kurhajec said. “When people deposit their money, it’s going right back into the community. It feels good. That’s what makes it so rewarding working here.”
