Giving a Gift to Support Volunteering
In my search for an organization to our 2023 #Gift2Giving program I reached out to Jim Deibler at Sew N Save. Jim is involved with community service out of his store in Racine. He guided me to Volunteer Center of Racine County.
Within the organization they have programs that they work with. My funds were allocated to the Youth Volunteer Corps. The Youth Corps assist youth in finding organizations to volunteer at. Through volunteering, the team leaders engage youth in team-based service experiences that build life and work skills while inspiring a lifetime ethic of service.
The program runs all year, with a summer camp offered during the summer months of June through August. Not only did we donate funds we were able to assist in helping them set a financial literacy program. It was a pleasure talking to Sarah and her team about the work that they do.
