employees to benefit from all-day training, team building event
UNION GROVE – Community State Bank is celebrating Presidents’ Day (Feb. 17) with a day of all-employee training and team building.
All branches will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17. Community State Bank reopens during normal business hours on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
“We talked about how difficult it can be to get the bank together as a group, so we thought this would be a good opportunity,” CSB Senior Vice President/Chief Operations Officer Katie Stolp said.
The morning session features an appearance from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office covering topics including active threat training, internal procedures, compliance and suspicious transactions.
Employees will learn how to recognize unusual transactions and file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR).
“It could be anything outside the norm,” Stolp said. “If they’re being fake on where the cash is going or coming from or if we feel they’re being taken advantage of. We’ll also cover wire fraud. If they’re buying something, we always ask them if they’ve physically seen what they’re buying.”
The session allows employees to complete Bank Administration Institute (BAI) training in-person instead of watching videos.
The afternoon includes presentations from CSB leadership guided by Human Resources Director Katie Weis, President/CFO Bob Findysz and CEO Scott Huedepohl.
Huedepohl is conducting a 1-on-1 interview with Chris Miller, President of Miller Motor Sales, Inc. and a member of the CSB Board of Directors.
Miller became a CSB Board member in July 2020. The lifelong Burlington resident is carrying on the Miller Motors family legacy established in 1939.
Miller exemplifies a strong commitment to both the family business and community service. He is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Burlington, St. Charles Parish, Burlington Police and Fire Commission and Burlington High School Athletic Association.
