2023 LEAD Scholarship Awards

Community State Bank Presents L.E.A.D. Scholarship Awards to Seven Walworth County Fair Exhibitors

Community State Bank awarded seven Walworth County Fair Exhibitors with L.E.A.D. Scholarship Awards on September 26th, 2023 at the Walworth County Fair Buyers Dinner.  A total of $6,500 was awarded to the 2023 recipients which include Kyle Ellsworth ($2,500), Olivia Lois ($1,000), Mariah Stewart ($1,000), Lucy Stinebrink ($500), Amanda Bender ($500), Madison Strickler ($500), and Lacey Klade ($500).

L.E.A.D. stands for Leadership in the community, Expectations of the future, Achievements at the fair, and Dedication to lifelong learning. This award is a scholarship program developed by Community State Bank in partnership with the Walworth County Meat Animal Sale Committee to celebrate exhibitors that are dedicated to serving their community. Applicants were asked to submit an essay or video describing how they met the L.E.A.D. criteria.

“This was our first year clerking the Walworth County Fair Meat Animal Sale and we wanted a unique way to celebrate exhibitors who really go above and beyond to serve their community,” said CSB AVP - Cash Management, Molly Krause.

A committee of individuals from CSB and the Meat Animal Sale Committee reviewed the submissions and scored them on a predetermined scale of the LEAD Award criteria.

“We received several qualified applications which made choosing recipients very difficult,” said Krause. “Thank you so much to each exhibitor that took the time to apply and congratulations to all that were awarded. We commend each of you on your commitment to Walworth County communities.”
