Wind Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. is Dedicated to our Community...
I chose the Wind Lake Volunteer Fire Department as the recipient of my #Gift2Giving donation because I think that firefighting is so admirable. These individuals volunteer their time and put themselves in danger constantly to keep other community members safe. I recently moved to the Wind Lake area and I greatly appreciate people like President Willy Ellertson who has volunteered and dedicated himself to protecting the community for over 30 years.
Currently the department is very short on help, but they still manage to send team members for training every year, which is an enormous expense. I am so grateful for the time and effort put in by these individuals and I know my donation dollars will be put to great use.
I also would like to mention that I was inspired by a recent story from our very own CSB employee, Colin Hennessey who also dedicates his time towards being a volunteer firefighter.
Thank you to all of our local firefighters for what they do.
