I chose to donate to the Waterford FFA because I fully support their mission. As a former chapter member, and current FFA Alumni member, I know the benefits of this organization! Many people think FFA (Future Farmers of America) is strictly for people raising animals, but that is very far from the truth. Agri-business is a thriving field with many opportunities in landscape design, biological sciences, veterinarian care, genetic laboratories, and marketing/sales to name just a few! Kids are taught leadership skills, goal setting, team building and a strong work ethic. They put these skills to use in our community. I am very happy to have worked with the FFA kids at our Day in the Country Event for the past 6 years. They also do a great job educating kids about agri-sciences at public libraries and elementary schools in the area and when school is shut down they do it all online by creating fun videos and games.
