Passion, Community Highlight Annual Awards Event in Burlington

Community State Bank serves as presenting sponsor

BURLINGTON — It was a day of celebration and recognition at Experience Burlington’s Annual Community Awards on Wednesday, June 4 at Mercantile Hall in Burlington.

Community State Bank was the presenting sponsor.

Awards were presented to this year’s outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals going above and beyond in making Burlington a better place to live, work and entertain.

“Instead of everybody trying to do everything by themselves, we’re finally asking each other, ‘Hey, what do you need?’,” Burlington Mayor Jon Schultz said.

Napoli’s Restaurant and Pizzeria not only catered the event, but also brought home one of two Excellence in Business Awards.

The Ardagh Group also won an Excellence in Business Award. Chris Conigliaro of Shooters Tavern & Golf Simulators and Birchwood Realty was presented with the Rising Star Award, Women for Tomorrow won the Community Impact Award and Andrew Naber of ASDA Enterprises Inc. won the Presidents Award.

“There was a lot of talk about passion, about commitment to the community,” Community State Bank VP Market President (Burlington) Dave Schalk said. “There was a need to revitalize what Experience Burlington was doing and their new director MT Boyle has brought back new life.”
