"I can't describe it, but when you're working with the animals and you're near the animals, it takes you to a very special place that you never want to leave," Carnegie said.
Valley of the Kings Sanctuary & Retreat is home to large and small exotic and domestic felids, bears, wolf hybrids, foxes, farm animals and more. The nonprofit was one of 17 area recipients of Community State Bank's annual #Gift2Giving employee-driven, donation campaign.
