I learned of Tiny Hooves Animal Sanctuary by accident one day, looking around online. I was intrigued, so I dug in a little further and began following them on social media. I love their mission, and was wanting to help them financially somehow, but unsure of what I could do. Well, I stalled just long enough, and #Gift2Giving came along, and the lightbulb went on. Tiny Hooves would be my group for my #Gift2Giving donation! And I know we have other animal lovers here, so I was confident that I would be able to make a bigger difference for them financially than I would have been able to on my own. And I was right!
I love their overall message of “compassion starts with you”. This is such a timely message in our society right now. And seeing these animals, helping them to live their best lives all the way through, really brings it home for me. It is inspiring to me, and a truly compassionate calling.
Their mission is to create positive change in the world by helping their animal residents to “heal socially, emotionally and physically…they are treated as individuals.” And individuals they are! The crew of critters at Tiny Hooves each has their own history, personality and intellect, and it’s all just fascinating to me. From our visit I can tell that they’re well loved, and with our donation we’ve helped to sustain that love, and made a difference.
For that I am grateful.
