A Local Nonprofit Organization That Helps animals find the Purr-fect forever home

This year I was so excited to be able to participate in Community State Bank's #Gift2Giving program! I knew exactly who I wanted to give my donation to as my family has personally worked closely with this organization to find our fur babies! So along with four other co-workers we are pleased to present a $750 donation to Kenosha Forgotten Friends.
Kenosha Forgotten Friends (KFF) is a unique rescue where dogs and cats of all ages are able to stay with foster families instead of shelters until they can find their forever homes. The foster families care for them like they are their very own pets, so they know what love is right from the start.
Some of the animals are not coming from the best situations, but KFF makes sure the animals get the best care before they are placed for adoption. One great example of this is the story of a beautiful cat named Sirius. Sirius has been in KFF's care for quite some time as he arrived to their organization with no function in his back legs. KFF worked very hard with this kitty to help him live a normal life. This involved extensive surgery and rehab. Sirius can now walk all on his own and is now searching for his forever family.
This past July my husband and I adopted three kittens from Kenosha Forgotten Friends. The original plan was to adopt two kittens, but I just couldn’t separate these siblings. I’m grateful my husband loves me very much. The process of meeting our fur babies was really neat. We were able to visit them in the foster home and spend a little time with them before we picked them, or in our case they picked us.
Kenosha Forgotten Friends took care of all of their vet bills up until we adopted them and made sure the kittens were all up to date on their shots and microchipped. This all comes at a cost, which is why myself along with my generous co-workers chose KFF.
KFF deserves so much recognition for all they do in our community for the forgotten ones, the ones who don’t have a voice, but are simply looking for a chance to find a loving home where they can live their best life. We will forever be grateful to them for making our lives just a little more exciting with our fur babies. Thank you Kenosha Forgotten Friends for all that you do!
