employee-driven Event Has distributed Over $105,000 in eight years
UNION GROVE – Nearly 100 Community State Bank employees are ready to deliver holiday cheer to 16 area nonprofit organizations during the eighth annual #Gift2Giving donation drive.
Since its 2018 inception, the campaign has distributed over $105,000 to dozens of nonprofits throughout Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.
Community State Bank gives each of its employees $150 to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choice. In addition to the bank-provided funds, Community State Bank matches any personal donations up to $150.
One-hundred percent of CSB employees participated in the program for the eighth consecutive year.
“Our staff gets really excited about this campaign every year,” Community State Bank CEO Scott Huedepohl said.
“It’s interesting to see where they choose to invest their funds. We learn about organizations right here in our backyard that we may not have had the opportunity to learn about otherwise.”
In the past two weeks, CSB employees worked together to select this year’s recipients. Many have been impacted by these organizations and touched by their mission.
This year’s recipients include Anchor Ministries, Burlington Catholic School, Children’s Wisconsin Kenosha, Dementia Friendly Community Initiative, Fellow Mortals Wildlife Hospital, Guardians of the Children, Shepherds College, Small Business, Big Hearts, Thanksgiving Racine, Valley of the Kings Sanctuary, Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, Walworth County Food & Diaper Bank, Waterford FFA Chapter, Wisconsin Humane Society, and YMCA Mukwonago.
In the coming weeks, CSB employees will hand-deliver the donation checks to the nonprofits.
Area residents will be able to learn more about the organizations and how they’ve impacted our communities, through a series of stories and videos at CSB.bank/gift2giving and on CSB’s social media channels.
Be sure to follow CSB on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to learn more about many great people, places and events happening right here in the communities we serve.
