11 Students Awarded $8,500 in Walworth County Fair Partnership
UNION GROVE – An inspiring group of future leaders were recognized for their excellence and vision in being named this year’s recipients of Community State Bank’s LEAD Scholarship.
Eleven area students were awarded scholarships totaling $8,500. Those students are Caylah Boldt, Payton Bunger, Aubrey Gahns, Madison Kegley, Wyatt Nixon, Ben Reed, Sarah Reed, Emily Schmidt, Mariah Stewart, Ava Stone and Emma Syverson.
The LEAD (Leadership, Expectation, Achievement, Dedication) Scholarship was developed by Community State Bank in partnership with the Walworth County Fair Meat Animal Sale Committee.
It recognizes exhibitors that are committed to serving their community.
"Reading through applications was truly inspiring," said Molly Krause, Community State Bank Vice President | Cash Management.
"These young exhibitors are making a meaningful impact, sharing their time and talents to strengthen the communities they live in. Walworth County is lucky to have such a passionate and promising group of future leaders."
The LEAD Scholarship is for Walworth County Fair exhibitors. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or a post-secondary education student enrolled in the 2025-26 school year.
A selection committee chose recipients based on an essay or video describing how they meet the LEAD criteria.
