300 pumpkins distributed on a beautiful, fall afternoon
UNION GROVE – It’s always a day circled on the calendar at Community State Bank.
Local residents mingled with bank employees – while enjoying apple cider and doughnuts – at the annual Community Pumpkin Patch on Friday (Oct. 11) at Community State Bank, 1500 Main Street.
Community State Bank gave away 300 pumpkins from Maurice Family Farms in Yorkville.
“The Pumpkin Patch is one of our favorite events of the year,” Community State Bank Senior Vice President/Market President David Moyer said. “It’s one of the many community events we love to do here at the bank.”
On Friday, Moyer arrived at the CSB Union Grove headquarters on tractor with a special delivery. It was a trailer full of large pumpkins, unloaded by CSB staff and scattered throughout the lawn.
Jenny Braun, CSB’s Harvest Club & Kids Klub Director, created an Instagram-worthy photo display with a tractor and fall décor as the backdrop on an unseasonably, warm fall day.
Braun handed out over 100 doughnuts in the first 15 minutes from CSB’s very-own “Cruiser” food truck.
“Community State Bank does a beautiful job,” said Union Grove resident Michelle Brenner, who took her two daughters Mikaela, 11, and Mylee, 8. “The girls absolutely loved everything. We look forward to it every year.”
Union Grove’s Natalie Villalobos brought her two sons, David, 5, and Parker, 3.
“It’s nice (Community State Bank) does things like this to bring the community together,” Villalobos said.
The Community Pumpkin Patch is one of many special events for Kids Klub members. Kids Klub is an exclusive savings account for children (age 12 and under) designed to teach kids how to develop healthy savings habits and help them plan for the future.
