Kenosha native brings over 20 years of experience to new position
KENOSHA — A Kenosha native passionate about serving his community has joined a new team at Community State Bank.
Ben Bruno, a lifelong Kenosha resident, has been named Assistant Vice President | Business Banker at Community State Bank. The 2002 St. Joseph Catholic Academy graduate will work primarily out of the CSB Kenosha branch, located at 8304 75th St., Suite 100.
“My biggest goal is to be able to put my own impression on the growth of our community and give back for everything I’ve gained from a lifetime of living in Kenosha,” Bruno said. “My family and I have been blessed with great jobs with great organizations.”
Bruno arrives at Community State Bank with over 20 years of sales and advertising experience at Snap-on, Kenosha News and Mobile One. He most recently served as National Sales Manager at Snap-on.
As a community business banker, Bruno returns to his roots working closely with area business owners that are instrumental in driving the local economy.
“My job here is to identify the needs of local businesses and offer solutions to help them grow, expand and make the community a better a place,” Bruno said. “I’m looking forward to it.”
CSB Executive Vice President Robert Pieroni connected with Bruno through the Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Kenosha. When a position opened for a new business banker in Kenosha, Pieroni immediately had someone in mind.
“We knew it had to be the right person, one that fits the bank’s culture and someone who wants to be more involved in the Kenosha community,” Pieroni said. “Ben and I had a great conversation about joining CSB and, as they say, the rest is history.”
Bruno takes pride in his Italian heritage in a community known for its deep Italian roots. When he’s not spending time with his wife Emily, their two-year-old son Enzo and newborn son Vinny, he’s often playing bocce at the Italian American Club.
Lately, Bruno tries to squeeze naps into his free time. Starting a new job during the same month as welcoming a new son hasn’t come without its challenges, according to Bruno.
“A lot of wake ups in the middle of the night to feed the little guy, but we’re loving it,” Bruno said.
“My oldest son (Enzo) is a great big brother. He loves helping out, feeding the baby. He was just super excited to meet him. Watching our family grow has been fantastic. It’s everything I thought it would be.”
Bruno said his first impressions of working at Community State Bank was the many warm welcomes he received from his new coworkers.
“The thing that stands out to me the most is that everybody enjoys going to work every day,” Bruno said. “You don’t find that everywhere. Everyone at Community State Bank seems genuinely happy being here.”
