Community Approach Comes Natural for Kansasville Native
BURLINGTON — A tight-knit retail team has a new leader in Burlington.
Community State Bank has announced the promotion of Becky Springer to Retail Manager at its Burlington branch, located at 308 Bridge St. Springer previously served as Assistant Retail Manager in Burlington.
“We have such a great team here,” Springer said. “It’s more like a family.”
Springer takes over for former Burlington Retail Manager Caitlyn Eulgen. In January, Eulgen was promoted to CSB Retail Operations Director and Security Operations Coordinator.
“Becky was an immense help to me during my years managing the Burlington office,” Eulgen said. “We have an awesome team, and I am excited to watch her continue to educate and develop them to leave an even larger impact on the Burlington community.”
Community State Bank VP Burlington Market President Dave Schalk said he has confidence in Springer with her new position.
“The staff in Burlington is excited about Becky’s new opportunity,” Schalk said. “She’s played a big role in building relationships with our customers and creating the welcoming environment in the Burlington branch.”
The Kansasville native said she feels right at home in community banking, surrounded by many of the family and friends she grew up with on a small, hobby farm in Western Kenosha County.
Springer spent her childhood showing livestock at the Kenosha County Fair.
“Growing up, we started off showing ducks and turkeys and then my brother started showing pigs and then we began showing cattle," said Springer, a 2022 Westosha Central High School graduate. “It really shaped me to who I am. Over the summers, we were waking up at 5 a.m., if not earlier, to wash and take care of them and feed them.”
Community State Bank is a longtime sponsor of the county fairs in Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.
“I've known about CSB forever because of the fairs,” Springer said. “CSB has such a positive impact on the community. That’s the biggest reason why I like working here. This position will allow me to become even more involved with giving back.
